Surgical Technologist I - Endoscopy

Description Professional – Clinical Req #: 29882 Summary: The Surgical Technologist I – MMCP role involves preparing the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies, as well as passing instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeons. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required. License/Certifications: Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within six months of start date or at the discretion of leadership for positions at MMC. Certification preferred at SMHC. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: Experience as a Surgical Technologist or a minimum of six months in a scrub role in an academic or clinical setting preferred.
