Cash Room Assistant

We are seeking to employ a candidate who will ideally have some prior knowledge of working in a legal practice with experience of the role and duties which that involves. Mackinnons are an established Aberdeen law firm with a friendly and supportive staff who all work together as a team. The successful candidate should be able to work independently whilst working alongside the head cashier in a collective manner. The firm is a busy multi-discipline practice engaged in a wide range of legal work. We have 3 established branch offices, but there is no requirement to travel. Key Responsibilities Duties will include assisting with:- Fee note reconciliations and checks. Accurate postings of client ledger entries Full compliance with Law Society of Scotland Solicitors’ Accounts Rules. Management of credit and debit balances. Working with credit control department. Money laundering and KYC compliance Knowledge of Accounting Systems Reporting to cash room manager and head cashier as well as working under existing cash room team. Location Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The role offers good future prospects and broadening of roles with training in a busy legal practice.
