Berkshire Healthcare is seeking motivated candidates for the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist position within the MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient team. Our service receives a wide variety of referrals from GP surgeries, orthopaedic clinics, the MSK Triage Service, FCPs, and from the Trust’s Specialist Spinal Service (IPASS) / MSK Community Specialist Service (CSS). Site options and roles will be discussed at interview. A B5 / 6 Development role could also be considered, and we welcome applications for this option.
We have excellent clinical and administrative teams ranging from Bands 3 – 7, with access to Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists for supervision and In-Service Training, as well as links with a team of 24 APPs in IPASS and CSS. The successful candidates will need to be committed to providing high-quality, effective assessment and physiotherapy treatment, promoting self-management and patient empowerment. Candidates should demonstrate a minimum of 12 months postgraduate experience, including MSK rotations, and have a passion for musculoskeletal outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a senior physiotherapy practitioner to provide a high-quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy service for adults and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
- Provide high standards of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and caseload management.
- Undertake all aspects of clinical duties autonomously, without direct supervision.
- Supervise and educate junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, technical instructors, work experience students, and physiotherapy students.
