At Babcock, we are working to create a safe and secure world together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Apprenticeship Coach at our South Bristol site.

The role involves designing and delivering work-based training for Machinist Fitting and Inspection apprentices and graduate engineers, acting as their first line manager. No prior training experience is required as we will look to develop you into the role.

Day-to-day, you will work closely alongside the operation leadership team to assist with professional development training for the skilled workforce. You will instil the highest standards of health and safety in apprentices, reviewing new technology and practices to improve safety. You will structure and deliver training to help apprentices gain necessary skills, knowledge, and experience.

As apprentices are often in their first professional job, you will instil good work ethics and Babcock values, ensuring professional behaviour. You will offer guidance for their wellbeing and escalate where required. This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based at our Ashton Vale site in South Bristol.

Essential experience:

  • Knowledge in machining and fitting.
  • Ability to programme CNC machines using various languages.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
