We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to join our team at Lucy Electric. The role will work closely with various department heads within the UK businesses, managing projects from a financial perspective, that will be wide and varied from new legal entities, new product introduction, and introduction of new business structures.
Lucy Electric is an international leader in intelligent secondary power distribution products and solutions, with features such as remote operation and monitoring. Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specialises in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.
The role will be a key member of the Lucy Electric UK Finance Team. As part of our team, you will lead, support and deliver challenging projects, working with your peers across various departments across Lucy Electric and Lucy Controls to ensure a smooth execution and delivery of projects.
The role will be based in Thame, Oxfordshire, at Lucy Electric’s manufacturing plant and office, with hybrid working option available. The role will work closely with the Executive Leadership team, HR, Finance, Comms and Energy Services leadership team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and deliver multiple projects working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Support change management, identify risks and opportunities and introduce cost saving strategies where possible
- Reporting on the financial progress of projects to senior management
- Preparation of Budgets, Financial Forecasts and Cashflows for the new legal entities
- Implementing new or revised financial policies and systems for better financial management, and in line with best practice
- Managing the internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems for the new legal entities
- Preparing financial reports and presenting them to the board and other stakeholders
- Reviewing financial information and seeking ways to reduce costs and risks
- Liaising with external advisors, auditors and HMRC as necessary
- Develop and manage both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers and vendors
- Responsible for timely month-end closing, preparation of month-end accounts for financial controller’s review
- Preparation and issue of monthly management reports pack
- Analyse financial reports and present findings with department heads
Qualifications, Knowledge, And Experience:
- Strong Senior Accountancy experience 10+ yrs.
- Proven work experience as a Finance Manager or similar role
- Experience in systems implementation
- Proficient in the use of financial software (experience in D365 would be desirable)
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
