Hourly rate of pay: £27.88 - £31.39

Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 08:00-16:00. Flexi time is applicable, with flexible starting and finishing times.

Start date: 14th July 2025.

Job Details:

  • Oversee the operational delivery of the Property Maintenance service, including property inspections, responsive repairs, planned improvements, minor building projects, void property turnaround, and out-of-hours standby.
  • Ensure the Property Maintenance trading activity remains financially viable by optimizing labour, plant, and material resources for efficient delivery across all main service functions.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction through professional and high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
  • Assist the Service Manager in allocating and monitoring the HRA repairs and Property Maintenance trading activity budgets.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in Housing, Surveying, Built Environment, Facilities Management, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and competencies gained through management experience in building maintenance, construction, or facilities management.
  • Driving Licence: A full current driving licence is desirable.
  • Level 1 Disclosure Clearance: Required for access to the Public Sector Network. The council will facilitate the disclosure process; receipt of the certificate is required before starting.
  • Additional Notes: If you have lived or worked outside the UK for more than 3 months in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check will be required. Details can be found on GOV.UK.
