Senior Flexonics - Lymington Precision Engineers is a leading manufacturer of precision machined components, assemblies and kit sets for various industries including Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Aerospace and Defence, Land and Sea Systems, Nuclear and Marine.
The Head of Operations will be accountable for world class manufacturing operations, working collaboratively with the senior leadership team to achieve overall business success through operational excellence. Responsibilities include:
- Driving World Class Manufacturing, including delivering excellence in operational performance and establishing a culture of continuous business improvement.
- Shaping and realising LPE strategy, working with the senior leadership team to drive business strategy for continued growth.
- Leading and motivating people, providing outstanding leadership to direct reports and developing an effective team.
- Setting and achieving high standards, managing operational costs within budgetary constraints and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key skills and experience required:
- Proven track record of leading operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent team leadership and delegation skills.
- Experience of enabling effective collaboration across departments.
- Formal Lean and Continuous Improvement training.
- Strong understanding of business KPIs and performance improvement.
Qualifications:
- HNC in either Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Educated to degree standard in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge through experience (Desirable).
- Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership (Desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely at Work (Desirable).
- Security Clearance (Desirable).
