We are now recruiting for a Vet Surgeon to join the growing team at a small animal veterinary practice in the Chelmsford area of Essex. This is a full-time opportunity ideally working 4 days a week with a 1 in 4 weekend rota and no OOH (part-time hours may be considered). The practice is purpose-built with in-house laboratory capabilities and diagnostics, including ultrasound, digital x-ray, and multiparameter monitoring.

The caseload is varied, predominantly consisting of dogs and cats, alongside some small furries and exotics. Ideally, you will be confident with routine medical and surgical cases and looking to progress in your career. The practice is happy to support an interest in any area of specialism. You will be joining a 3 Vet team with a visiting certificate holder in small animal surgery (including orthopaedics).

CPD Funding and paid RCVS, BVA, and VDS memberships are provided. The location is well situated to enjoy the nearby city of Chelmsford, with good transport links into London and access to the Essex countryside and coast.

Person Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • Confident with routine consults and surgeries
