We are seeking a Room Leader for our outstanding day nursery in Reigate. The Room Leader will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care and leading a small committed team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a nursery, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for early childhood education.

Duties Of The Room Leader Include:

  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery room
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans
  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
  • Provide guidance and support to nursery room staff
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and positive learning environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience working in childcare or early childhood education
  • Experience of leading a room or as a Deputy room lead or senior practitioner
  • Strong communication skills
  • A childcare / early years qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Ability to drive positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environment
  • A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS)
