About the Volunteer Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Head of HR (Global Spread, Communities & Succession Planning) to join SkilledUp Life. In this senior volunteer role, you will play a key part in expanding our global HR presence, strengthening community engagement, and ensuring smooth succession planning across teams. You will also oversee the HR Recruitment function to help build strong, diverse volunteer teams worldwide.

Activities:
- Oversee and support the HR Recruitment team to ensure global volunteer roles are filled with top talent.
- Work closely with the CEO and HR team to identify new markets and regions for volunteer recruitment.
- Strengthen community engagement by fostering collaboration between volunteers across various regions and departments.
- Manage and regularly update the HR Succession Planning system, ensuring each role has a clear transition plan.
- Coordinate with Team Leads to anticipate recruitment needs well in advance of volunteer term completion.
- Ensure smooth offboarding and planning for replacement volunteers with structured training and shadowing.
- Organize meetings and updates with HR sub-teams to monitor progress, resolve challenges, and track goals.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO and Head of HR.
Duration: 3 months (60 volunteer days), at least 2 hours per day, part-time, remote.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in Human Resources, with leadership or managerial experience preferred.
- Fluent in English β both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of global HR practices, recruitment strategies, and succession planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Trello, and remote collaboration platforms.
- A passion for mentoring and building strong, diverse teams across different regions.
