The Strategy, Planning & Performance (SPP) directorate supports the University\’s ambitions by fostering a culture of evidence-led decision-making, with the Business Intelligence & Insight team at the forefront, providing data and research-driven insights to inform strategy and enhance performance. We are seeking an innovative and strategic Head of Business Intelligence & Insight to transform how data is used across the University. Reporting to the Director of SPP, you will lead the development of a robust business intelligence portfolio, delivering user-centered dashboards, predictive analytics, and impactful reporting. You will collaborate with stakeholders to integrate diverse data sources, driving strategic and operational improvements. Leading a talented team within the SPP directorate, you will help embed an evidence-based culture across the University. Your work will shape key initiatives, including student recruitment and number planning, performance reporting, enhancement and evaluation, student experience and success, and market positioning. With a strong background in business intelligence analysis and insight, alongside knowledge of higher education and regulation (TEF, APP, Data Futures), you will have a proven track record of leading change and engaging stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in BI tools such as Qlik or Power BI, alongside knowledge of data warehouse approaches, is key. You will bring exceptional leadership skills to develop a high-performing team and a strategic vision to deliver insights that support the University\’s goals.
