An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse within the East Kent Community Rehabilitation Service, at Ethelbert Rd rehabilitation unit The unit is situated in the centre of Canterbury, and is one of 6 Rehabilitation Units across Kent, which provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health needs. The unit comprises of 9 single bedrooms and is staffed 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. The multidisciplinary team provides a wide range of individualised interventions delivered by nursing, medical, psychological, occupational therapy and peer support clinicians. As a Staff Nurse you would be the named nurse for a small caseload of clients and be expected to coordinate a recovery-focused, individualised plan of care; in addition to supporting the service users through the rehabilitation pathway. Work across a 24-hour shift pattern, 7 days a week Manage the shift when on duty and coordinate the workload for junior staff; delegation Have a good understanding of the Mental Health Act, Safeguarding frameworks and clinical documentation. Administer and dispense medication (Medication management) Champion recovery-orientated practice, to include group work, contribute and facilitate to the therapeutic intervention programme. Follow Health and Safety protocols and Policies Risk Management and patient safety Deliver effective and quality care alongside patients.
