Location: Covering the North West Region Based in central London & Wellingborough, operating throughout the UK and internationally, Food Alert is a leading food safety and health & safety consultancy. Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out food safety and health & safety inspections and records audits at clients' premises.
- Produce reports based on these audits and inspections.
- Conduct risk assessments (occupational, manual handling, personal protective equipment) within hospitality client premises.
- Perform new client set-up visits, including implementing our ALERT65 compliance platform.
- Provide client-specific training and advice.
- Act as an Account Manager for a portfolio of clients, mainly individual restaurants/hotels and small groups.
- Investigate allegations of food poisoning, allergic reactions, and foreign body incidents both digitally and on-site.
- Assist with the Food Alert Advice Line, responding to client requests within set timeframes.
- Provide feedback to Account Managers to improve client relationships.
- Report platform issues to the IT team.
- Respond to instructions from the Operations Director.
- Attend team meetings and technical CPD sessions.
- Manage emails and respond to queries promptly.
- Participate in rota-based office consultancy, including Advice Line responses and investigations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum BSc Environmental Health or equivalent industry experience, with at least L4 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience conducting food safety and health & safety audits in hospitality, especially hotels, restaurants, pubs, and bars.
- Knowledge of hotel facilities such as spas and swimming pools is advantageous.
