Are you a natural hunter with a flair for consultative selling and a passion for creating memorable customer engagement experiences? We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven New Business Manager to join a market-leading creative services company specialising in brand experiences, exhibitions, and live events.
This is a unique opportunity to represent an innovative business that offers bespoke, high-impact solutions to marketing teams looking to transform their event presence and customer engagement.
About the Role
As New Business Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving company growth by identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities. Working closely with marketing, creative, and operations teams, you will play a vital role in positioning the company's brand as a trusted partner for strategic event engagement. You’ll lean on the in-house established creative resources, innovative product offering, and industry-leading tools to secure appointments, present compelling proposals, and negotiate successful outcomes. Once a deal is won, clients are transitioned to the Account Management team so you can stay focused on building your next pipeline of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a personal sales pipeline using a CRM (SugarCRM or equivalent), ensuring data integrity and accurate forecasting.
- Proactively source, qualify, and close new business opportunities through a combination of lead generation, social selling, and events-based prospecting.
- Build meaningful relationships with marketing teams and decision-makers to deeply understand their brand engagement goals.
- Create imaginative and commercially sound proposals, tailored to each prospect's objectives, using unique tools and services that differentiate the company in the market.
- Attend trade shows and industry events where they “exhibit exhibiting,” giving you real-time insight and valuable networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, marketing, operations) to enhance proposals and ensure the company's offerings remain market-leading.
- Drive clients to the impressive HQ and showroom for immersive presentations that increase conversion and build credibility.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven success in consultative B2B sales, ideally selling to marketing stakeholders.
- Track record of exceeding revenue targets and winning high-value deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Confidence in creatively critiquing briefs and shaping proposals to add strategic value.
- CRM experience and strong understanding of the full sales cycle.
- Social media savvy with strong LinkedIn skills for networking and outreach.
- Tenacious, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with a genuine passion for winning.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the creative, live events, or exhibitions industry.
- Certificated sales training or professional development in sales.
- Understanding of branding, experiential marketing, or customer engagement tools.
Who You Are
You’re an energetic and credible sales professional who can command a room and turn ideas into action. You thrive in fast-paced, creative environments and are naturally persuasive without being pushy. You’re as comfortable cold calling as you are presenting to a boardroom. Most importantly, you’re driven to succeed and eager to make a real impact.
The Offer
- Competitive salary with uncapped bonus potential.
- Flexible hybrid working: office, home, and on-site.
- Travel to leading exhibitions and industry events.
- Opportunity to work in a collaborative and creative culture.
- Full support from an award-winning marketing and design team.
- Company pension & benefits package.
- A clear path for growth within a dynamic, growing organisation.
