An exciting role has been created to further develop and expand our Druck Aerospace pressure sensor business within the European region. Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts and relationships, whilst also having a strong focus on developing new business with new customers within the Aerospace and Defence industries. Markets covered will include both Commercial and Military Aviation, capturing Ground Test, Flight Test and Program business, as well as adjacent markets within Space and Defence (Land and Sea).
This is an incredible opportunity to join a successful team to help execute our business strategy and growth plans. It is essential that the individual is a strong team player, capable of working by themselves and within a team. This role will be home based within Germany, with the expectation that 50% of the time will be spent travelling either domestically or within other European countries.
This role is a customer facing position, so you will be expected to:
- Be a self-starter, capable of making connections and developing new business opportunities.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with customer decision makers and with our internal team.
- Be fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
- Have previous experience of selling technical products into the Aerospace and/or Defence industries.
- Have a solid technical sales background.
- Able to develop an opportunity pipeline and close orders to meet plan.
- Manage the entire sales process, providing forecasting via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, SFDC Deal Machine.
- Be the focal point of contact for the customer, able to handle simple and complex situations.
- Facilitate contract negotiations with the customer and with our own legal team.
- Drive pricing increases and negotiations.
- Provide ‘voice of customer’ requirements to the product company for future product developments.
Expected experience/qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience within a direct sales role.
- Has worked in a field sales role within the Aerospace and/or Defence industry for more than 2 years.
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Holds a full/clean driving license.
Desirable:
- Has experience of buying or selling engineered products fitted to an airframe.
- Technical degree in Aerospace engineering.
- Has knowledge of type certificate approvals process, EASA, FAA.
- Has worked previously for a sensor or instrumentation business.
