About Oh Polly Founded in 2015, Oh Polly is a fast-growing, social first fashion brand that creates trend driven, high quality premium products. With a focus on innovation, global responsibility, and ethics. We’ve built a combined social following of over 10 million across our brands, including Bo+Tee; our activewear line. Operating across multiple global offices, we are a dynamic team offering ambitious individuals the chance to thrive, grow, and take their careers to the next level.

The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join our growing technical team. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of high-quality, perfectly fitting garments that meet both aesthetic and performance standards. Working closely with Buying, Design, Merchandising, and our supply base, you will take full technical ownership of your product areas across woven, stretch, jersey, and occasion wear. You will lead the fit process, ensure smooth sample development, and maintain compliance across international markets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Fit: Lead fit sessions from proto through to final seal, ensuring fit, balance, and construction meet brand expectations. Translate initial design concepts into clear, accurate technical briefs for factories. Maintain consistency of fit, construction standards, and sizing continuity across all ranges. Conduct technical risk assessments at early development stages. Provide actionable fit and construction feedback and maintain a strong understanding of trends, customer preferences, and garment performance.
  • Technical Ownership & Compliance: Approve all testing requirements and care labels, ensuring compliance with UK, EU, and US regulations. Ensure all garments adhere to brand safety, legal, and quality standards. Investigate customer complaints and returns, advising on root cause and corrective action. Liaise with QA and distribution teams to resolve any emerging production or quality issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Process & Communication: Maintain up-to-date tech packs, fit comments, graded specs, and testing documentation. Accurately record fit comments and update critical path timelines accordingly. Attend and contribute to weekly CP meetings to keep all product timelines aligned. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers to streamline the development process and improve technical execution.
  • Supplier & Production Support: Communicate with offshore vendors and factories to ensure sample development meets timelines and quality standards. Travel to factories (where required) alongside Design or Buying to resolve technical challenges and monitor production. Review and approve production samples, ensuring consistency with sealed references. Input seasonal product data and contribute to reporting for senior leadership when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Garment Technologist, ideally in women's wear across wovens, stretch, and jersey categories.
  • Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabric behaviour, pattern cutting principles (practical pattern cutting experience is a bonus), and fit correction.
  • Strong knowledge of international compliance and product safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—confident in leading fit sessions and influencing across departments.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Garment Technology, Fashion, or a related discipline.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, and prioritisation skills—able to work under pressure and at speed without sacrificing quality.
  • High attention to detail and a solutions-driven approach to daily challenges.

What’s on offer?

  • Salary: £42,000 – £50,000
  • 50% discount on all Oh Polly and Bo+Tee products
  • An extra day off for your birthday
  • Corporate gym membership (subject to tax)
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Company pension
  • Company social events
