As Associate Director of Estates, you will play a key role in shaping the future provision of Estates Services within the Trust. This will include the strategic development of services to ensure they are high quality, progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, patient-focused, and fully support the strategic and future operational needs of the service delivery contracts.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and policies for the Directorate. You will lead the development and implementation of strategic business development plans and a strong governance framework to ensure all services are safe, fit for purpose, efficient, and effective for patients, staff, relatives, and visitors.
You will manage the organisation's infrastructure, maintaining a high-quality and cost-effective service, and provide expert advice to colleagues. You will help to maintain and develop strong and effective links with all key stakeholders, deputising for the Director of Estates and Facilities when required at local, regional, and national levels. You will also assist in corporate decision-making when needed.
You will provide management and leadership to maintenance, estates, and other facilities activities. You will have responsibility for ensuring the environment is safe for patients, staff, and the public. The Associate Director of Estates will be responsible for managing the organisation's infrastructure.
Demonstrate continuous service improvement and modernisation of service delivery and structure. Serve as the source of expertise on the interpretation of legislation when required. Contribute actively to the strategic direction of the business, ensuring the infrastructure continues to be safe and meets the needs of patients, the public, and staff, ensuring delivery against the service contracts.
Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements to deliver safe and compliant services. Provide evidence to demonstrate compliance with associated regulations such as CQC, PAM, and Health & Safety standards. Maintain and develop robust monitoring and reporting systems to ensure and demonstrate the safe and effective delivery of Estates Operational Services.
Undertake the role of Authorised / Designated Person with delegated authority from the Director for areas including Medical Gases, Electricity, Asbestos, Water Safety, and Air Conditioning & Ventilation. Evaluate service provision performance measures, including benchmarking, to ensure value for money, identify opportunities for improvement, and produce complex performance reports, analysis, and comparisons of appropriate data.
