About the Role: I am working with an incredible agency who have a passion for social media, sports and partnerships. They are seeking an Account Director with a strong background in social media, content strategy and brand relationships. This role is pivotal as it is the first Account Management department hire, responsible for setting up account management processes and driving business growth through innovative social media campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for athletes and brands.
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation and management of engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and videos.
  • Partnership and Sponsorship Delivery: Collaborate with brands, agencies, and investors to create authentic and impactful social media partnerships.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to optimise campaigns and report on ROI.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key players in sports, entertainment, and tech industries.

Requirements:

  • Passion for sports, culture, and innovation.
  • 5+ years of experience in client services, social media marketing, talent management, strategy, or brand relationships.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, audience engagement tactics, and monetisation.
  • Experience working with influencers, athletes, agents or rights holders.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their intersection with sports and entertainment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a team.
