We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Administrator with deep expertise in RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret from both a systems programming and security administration perspective. The ideal candidate will be proficient in installing, customizing, and administering these security products, as well as possessing a strong understanding of security architecture and methodologies.

  • Install, configure, and customize RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret for secure and efficient systems operation.
  • Administer and maintain these products, ensuring security best practices are followed.
  • Provide technical expertise in mainframe security administration across multiple security products.
  • Design, implement, and oversee security architecture to ensure robust system protection.
  • Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, maintaining system integrity and compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve security across all platforms.
  • Utilize security tools and technologies to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Develop in-house security maintenance processes or exploit vendor supplied utilities.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret
  • Strong zOS knowledge
  • Proficient in a coding language (ASM, REXX, SAS, or Python)
  • CISSP preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of ticketing system (Jira, Remedy, or Service-Now)
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is £51,825 - £86,375.
