A prestigious main contractor who is experiencing a spell of rapid growth needs an experienced Site Manager for an interesting project in East London with a value of £14m. The successful candidate will ideally be from an engineering background, be technically minded and have delivered as a no. 2 Site Manager on a project of similar scale. This project is a Cut & Carve, with a full facade replacement and internal & external refurbishment.
Duties
- Liaising with various staff and senior stakeholders such as Project Managers, Clients, Sub-contractors, Senior Engineer, Foreman and Quantity Surveyor;
- Manage sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site;
- Ensure high standards are upheld at all times resulting in a high quality project completed on time, within budget and implemented within the required safety standards;
- Planning out weekly work programmes as well as producing weekly reports on the progress of the project;
- Attending and chairing weekly team meetings;
- Maintaining site records;
- Managing and implementing of the Safety Management System.
Ideal Candidate
- Engineering Qualifications with a minimum of 2+ years Site Management experience;
- Strong IT skills – comfortable on all Microsoft Office Package;
- Great interpersonal skills and communication skills;
- Process driven and solutions focused;
- Proven track record in Commercial / Industrial Projects;
- Have excellent commercial awareness.
