BOB (\”Build on Bitcoin\”) is a pioneering hybrid L2 network that bridges Bitcoin and Ethereum, unlocking new possibilities for developers, projects, and users. BOB combines the security of Ethereum rollups with Bitcoin\’s Proof-of-Work, offering a unique and highly secure environment for decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi projects, and other blockchain-native protocols. Through innovative trust-minimized bridges to both Bitcoin and Ethereum, BOB connects the liquidity and ecosystems of the two leading blockchains, enabling groundbreaking solutions in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.

We\’re hiring a Senior DeFi BD to grow and manage BOB\’s DeFi ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone deeply immersed in DeFi — whether from working at a leading DeFi protocol, a crypto fund deploying into DeFi, or having built out the DeFi ecosystem at an L1 or L2. You\’ll be responsible for bringing top-tier DeFi protocols and primitives to BOB, supporting liquidity and infrastructure, and shaping BOB into the leading destination for BTC-based DeFi.

Key Responsibilities:

• DeFi Ecosystem Growth: Identify, engage, and onboard both tier 1 established DeFi protocols and novel DeFi primitives to expand the BOB DeFi ecosystem. Drive strategic integrations that align with BOB\’s vision as the BTC DeFi hub
• DeFi Ecosystem Operations: Ensure that critical DeFi infrastructure (bridges, oracles, etc.) is in place and functioning. Track and report on key metrics including TVL, trading volume, liquidity flows, and user activity across the ecosystem
• DeFi Project Support: Collaborate closely with DeFi teams building on BOB to onboard liquidity, improve user experience, and accelerate growth
• Incentive Program Design: Ideate, structure, and coordinate performance-driven incentive campaigns. Measure outcomes and iterate for maximum ecosystem impact
• Capital Relations: Build and manage relationships with liquidity providers (LPs), funds, and trading firms deploying capital into BOB-native DeFi protocols
• Ecosystem Positioning: Work with product and marketing teams to package and communicate BOB\’s DeFi stack to wallets, dApps, and distribution partners — presenting BOB as the all-in-one BTC DeFi platform
• Market Intelligence: Monitor trends, protocol innovations, and capital movements across the broader DeFi and crypto landscape to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DeFi, crypto venture, or business development at an L1/L2 or leading protocol
• Proven track record in forming or managing a DeFi ecosystem, either at a protocol, fund, or infrastructure layer
• Deep understanding of DeFi mechanics (liquidity provisioning, staking, yield optimization, etc.)
• Strong existing network across DeFi protocols, infrastructure providers, and capital allocators
• Highly autonomous and proactive, with a founder-like mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and legal teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience at a major Layer 2 (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Scroll)
• Track record of being a DeFi power user yourself
