A fast-growing renewable energy business, backed by substantial investment is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager. This is a newly created role driven by ongoing growth and expansion plans. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with other senior stakeholders, this role offers more than your traditional finance remit. It’s a broad and varied position that blends core accounting responsibilities with commercial exposure, analysis, and project work. You’ll play a key part in shaping and strengthening the finance function as the business continues to scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and insights for senior stakeholders
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning activities
- Conduct performance analysis, partnering with the business to deliver meaningful financial insights
- Assist in building and enhancing financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Contribute to key projects aimed at improving processes, systems, and controls across the finance function
Requirements include:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), ideally newly qualified or with up to 2 years' PQE
- Strong technical grounding in financial and management reporting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment – exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, or financial services is highly desirable
- High level of Excel capability, with the ability to manipulate and analyse data effectively
- A proactive, hands-on mindset and a genuine interest in playing a visible role within a dynamic business
