A fantastic opportunity has arisen with one of our leading financial services clients for a DBA with a couple of years of experience. Ideally, you will have been working with SQL Server, however, experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL would also be accepted, as long as you have the drive to work with MS SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing BAU Support to a talented Database team
- Configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server databases
- Monitoring and reporting on database health checks
- Assisting in database deployments and maintenance
- Scripting and automating processes for application delivery
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure project delivery is correct
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience as a DBA, ideally working with SQL Server
- Experience in dealing with Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Ideally you will have some automation skills, ideally Ansible would be great
- Some programming skills, ideally with Python but Java, SQL, and PowerShell would be good too
- A desire to learn and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly
