We are looking for an exceptional candidate to be part of our exciting leadership team, to deliver our priorities and provide strategic direction for the delivery of void turnaround and lettings.
Role Overview
The role will involve collaborating and using partnerships to deliver positive outcomes for our residents, which this role is at the heart of shaping, ensuring value for money. Other areas of responsibility include:
- Leading on the strategic analysis and policies in voids and lettings, using business intelligence and transformation to improve the void process, setting and monitoring appropriate performance targets to deliver an efficient and streamlined service.
- Effective contract management to ensure that contractors deliver properties on time to a high standard.
- Working strategically with other service heads to ensure services are delivered consistently, delivering positive customer outcomes.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure value for money and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Providing inspirational leadership to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
About you
- Proven track record of working in a senior management role within housing, in a local authority or similar organisation.
- Proven ability to lead a strategic team at a similar level through customer services and leadership capability.
- Experience of effective contract and budget management in delivering high quality void works.
- Experience of providing excellent services to older, disabled and other vulnerable groups.
- Proven transformational leadership & management experience.
- Track record in performance management, driving improvements and efficiencies with a significant track record executing team and individual performance effectively.
- Proven track record in delivering results within a complex, politically directed organisation, recognising and responding appropriately to politically sensitive situations.
- Understanding of housing policy and its impact on social housing practice, with the ability to maintain a high awareness of issues that can cause legal, reputational and financial risks to the council.
