Acolad is a global leader in language and content solutions, services, and technologies. We are seeking a freelance Logger/Recording Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for attending meetings to obtain audio recordings. During these meetings, you will log and take notes of the proceedings, which will be used to produce transcripts. Full training will be provided.
Our Loggers work on the production of transcripts for various high-profile, technical, and confidential meetings and events, including:
- Corporate communications & investor relations events
- Employee relations meetings
- Medical and pharmaceutical communication forums
- Governance meetings (board, management, and committee meetings)
- Legal proceedings and formal investigations
- Regulatory meetings and public consultations
- Roundtable discussions and industry seminars
Main Responsibilities
- Set up recording devices to obtain high-quality recordings
- Test and troubleshoot to ensure successful recording
- Identify participants, log content, and deliver notes/audio within deadlines during meetings
Requirements:
- Good availability to take on assignments
- Ability to work onsite when required
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Efficient, fast communication with internal teams
- Personable, professional manner
Additional requirements:
- Reside in the UK and be able to work onsite in London
- Legally entitled to live and work in the UK
- Have a UK bank account to receive payments via direct debit
- Own a Windows 11 laptop with paid antivirus software
- Proof of all the above will be required during onboarding
This is a self-employed role. Freelancers will need to submit invoices and comply with relevant legal obligations. Successful candidates will undertake a Teams interview (camera on), complete relevant paperwork, and pass BPSS checks (DBS/Credit).
