We supply and maintain a range of mobility equipment to help clients stay independent for longer in their own homes. Our mission is to provide the best equipment and service we can, to support individuals, families, and the community. With extensive experience in the field, we are specialists in the provision of hoisting systems (ceiling track), stairlifts and other types of home lift, as well as ramping systems. The business continues to expand within the private sector, and we have recently been successful in securing further Government contract work within our operating base. About the role We are offering a new Hoist Engineer, ideally based in Gloucestershire, the opportunity to join our committed team, in a rewarding role. As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering an essential service, undertaking the installation and maintenance of a range of equipment in service users’ homes, as well as in schools, nursing homes and other locations. You will be well supported, and training and development opportunities will be ongoing. The role will focus on the following: * the installation of a range of different hoisting equipment – ceiling track and gantry hoist systems * the routine maintenance of equipment, including load testing of hoisting equipment, which will involve some lifting Your responsibilities will include: * liaising closely with management and other team members * working in line with company values, providing a person-centred service * ensuring the service is carried out to a high standard, in a professional manner, with attention to detail and adhering to appropriate timescales We are looking for * Relevant experience within the field is preferred * An electro-mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of fault finding * A work ethic and demonstration of values which closely match those of the company * A flexible approach, together with a willingness to share experience and to further develop skills * A desire to work in a role which helps other members of the community maintain their independence * A willingness to participate in the company out of hours on call rota, covering evenings and weekends, once considered ready to do so (currently on a 1 in 6 basis) To undertake the work, you will need to hold a full UK driving license and should also be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check which will be organised by the company.
