Hourly Pay Range: $18.38 - $26.65. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
- Location: 3329 75th St. Woodridge
- Full Time: 40 hours
- Hours: M-F, 4-5 days per week, rotating shifts 6:45a-3:15p, 8am-4:30pm, 9am-6pm, and 1 Saturday morning per month
- Required Travel: No
What you will do:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for providing timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and medical information systems support for in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care, and same-day surgery patients. Collects, analyzes, and records demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources, obtaining necessary signatures and information. Screens for third-party eligibility, enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment, and interacts with patients to meet their needs, explaining hospital revenue cycle processes and payment options.
What you will need:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree in Business Administration/Management preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service in healthcare
- Manual dexterity for operating office machines
- Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual skills preferred
- A valid driverβs license is required if performing duties at an off-site location, with maintained automobile liability coverage if using personal vehicle.
