The Role and Responsibilities

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for a Projects Manager to support and oversee our Eastern Hemisphere region. This is a senior, pivotal role in the organisation and will report to our VP of Project Management & Controls. The role will include having a number of Project Engineers and Project Managers report into them from different regions. The role will be accountable for overseeing multiple projects both on and offshore to ensure alignment, delivery and resources requirements are met. Alongside this you will provide leadership, mentoring, direction and coordination of project managers/engineers.

  • Ensure that project objectives, scope, KPI’s, deliverables and project status is effectively managed
  • Planning and forecasting project portfolio to support effective resource management and strategic planning
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of revenue, gross profit and margins across projects
  • Responsible for updating and accuracy of the business forecasting tool (BFT) across your portfolio of projects
  • Risk & Opportunity management including regular reviews of project risk registers and mitigation status
  • Interface with commercial and finance on invoicing and DSO performance monitoring
  • Perform self-verification and audits across projects to ensure compliance to process and systems

The Requirements

To be successful for this role you will have a proven track record in managing complex projects in the Oil, Gas and Energy Sectors. You will have the ability to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. A strong commercial acumen is essential for this role and you will have demonstrable experience in managing field execution. You will also hold a Project Management qualification and have had experience using tools such as PRINCE 2.
