Keoghs Scotland are seeking to recruit an experienced Solicitor/Paralegal to join our expanding Glasgow team. You will handle a varied caseload of litigated Motor Injury, Fraud and Credit Hire cases and assist the Partner in the day-to-day running of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Forensic review and analysis of relevant documents.
- Analysis of liability.
- Analysis of quantum and causation.
- Assisting in drafting advice.
- Client liaison.
- Court appearance and attendance with counsel.
- Drafting documents and correspondence to clients/court/witnesses.
- Preparing witness statements and instructions to experts.
- Assisting Partners and other members of the team where required.
- Assisting in business development initiatives, including drafting of articles, blog pieces, e-shots and presentations and attendance at relevant events.
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. One day a week from the Glasgow office.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Litigation experience (preferably defender motor)
- Experience in Sheriff Court procedures
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent forensic skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure
