This pivotal role offers a balanced mix of 50% advisory work and 50% compliance. It features a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days working from home, along with occasional travel to offices in Sussex, Kent, and London.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients on various projects and be actively involved in tax advisory assignments, including detailed analysis of reorganisations, demergers, loan relationships, EIS schemes, R&D tax credits, employee share schemes, due diligence on acquisitions, and advising on business sales. They will serve as the main point of contact for several premium clients, train and mentor three staff members, and review complex corporation tax returns and computations to ensure compliance.
Our client seeks an ideal candidate who is CTA qualified or experienced, with extensive knowledge of UK corporation tax and its interaction with international tax matters such as double taxation relief and treaties, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation, and CFSs. A broad understanding of other business taxes, strong ownership skills, proactivity, and excellent organisation and time management skills are essential. Experience in training and mentoring junior staff is also required.
