JMT Architecture has an immediate opening for an Interior Designer to join our growing studio in Hunt Valley, MD that embraces work-life balance within a flexible working environment. The candidate for this position will work in collaboration with the Interior Design and Architecture groups to provide services in all Design Studios.
Position summary: Responsible for providing interior design services on a variety of commercial projects.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Manage multiple commercial interiors projects
- Skilled in all phases of design process - programming, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration
- Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications and material selections required for construction
- Develop selection of furniture systems/specifications. Coordinate and collaborate with furniture vendor through ordering and installation of materials
- Manage client expectations and consultant coordination
- Produce design drawings in AutoCAD & Revit
- Knowledge of current building codes

Required Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Proficiency in Creative Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign is preferred
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 10+ years of work experience
- Licensed Interior Designer CID (in Maryland)
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Enscape
Working Conditions: JMT Architecture offers a hybrid work schedule. Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
