Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
  • Assess patient needs and update care plans as necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs and escalate changes in condition appropriately.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC standards and hospital policies.
  • Report incidents and safeguarding concerns.

Qualifications

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • SACT passport and chemotherapy administration experience
  • Experience in a clinical healthcare setting
  • Understanding of clinical governance and patient safety
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in IT systems for patient records
  • Previous oncology experience is required
