My client, a large Global Insurance firm in London, are seeking an exceptional Lead Data Architect to lead the architecture and development of an enterprise-scale data platform on Azure and Databricks. The Lead Data Architect will define the data platform strategy, lead a team of solution architects, and drive best practices in data governance, security, and advanced analytics. You will work closely with business leaders, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to build a modern, future-proof data ecosystem that supports data-driven innovation.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or cloud data engineering, with a focus on data platform strategy and leadership.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams in data platform architecture and solution design.
- Extensive experience with data integration, MDM, data governance, and data quality tools.
- Experience designing and integrating Machine Learning (ML) architectures on Azure, including: MLOps and model lifecycle management in Azure ML and Databricks.
- Model deployment, serving, and monitoring within a Lakehouse or Data Mesh framework.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and Scala for large-scale data processing.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
