Your new role
As Hard Services Manager, you will oversee and manage the maintenance, repair, small works and compliance function for our Local Authority client. The Hard FM service consists of delivery of a planned and reactive maintenance service in accordance with key performance indicators and quality standards. The Hard Services Manager will have line management responsibility for a multi-disciplined direct delivery team and responsibility for managing delivery through specialist subcontractors.
In delivering your role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement and that all Buildings & Asset Maintenance KPI’s have been achieved.
- Supporting the provision of and ensuring the delivery of the 1-year and 5-year life cycle forward plans.
- Managing all minor works and variations with the support of, where appropriate, RFM projects teams.
- Carrying out asset verification across the estate, ensuring all major items of plant are recorded on the CAFM system, and when required, adding/deleting assets following lifecycle and project works.
- Effectively planning PPM work for the maintenance team and sub-contractors using the FM CAFM system and updating the system diary to reflect any changes in PPM dates.
- Closely liaising with the client to ensure that all works delivered are to the required standard, that there are no disruptions to the school day and where appropriate agreeing remedial works.
About you
You’ll have extensive experience of leading a multi-disciplined maintenance team in the provision of Facilities Management services and customer liaison. You’ll be able to demonstrate your awareness of statutory requirements for compliance and balance the needs of quality and profit on the contract. You will have previous experience using CAFM and BMS systems. The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with child barred list check prior to starting in the role.
