With operations across the globe and an ever-expanding customer base, this prestigious manufacturer is planning the next part of their recruitment push. Following their recent investment, they are looking for a Materials Planner who has the capabilities of progressing into a Materials Manager on site and leading the department. The company has multiple sites within the organization and offers opportunities for any employee to train both internally and externally to develop their skills. The role also comes with opportunities to progress up the ladder with a clear plan in place for this person to advance.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the most effective and efficient use of Company funds through robust and professional purchasing methods, ensuring optimum material availability.
- Determine and review supply approach (MTO/Forecast/Stock and Serve) of all resin materials according to demand, supply geography, and service.
- Manage the scheduling and ordering of all resin and consumable requirements for the site, ensuring best cost, optimum stock levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain, control, and review the resin and consumable demand and forecast.
- Produce monthly forecasts to external suppliers.
- Liaise with Amcor CPM on supplier relations.
- Control all resin stocks to ensure stock levels are minimized and accurate stock records are maintained.
- Expedite material and liaise with the planners to meet the weekly production plan requirements.
- Raise purchase orders for all suppliers of resin and consumables, ensuring any late or failed deliveries are investigated and resolved.
- Creatively problem solve supply issues.
- Support the site in Total Cost Out activities.
- Report on key material KPIs.

- ERP Knowledge (SAP preferred)
