Location: Hybrid (1–2 days per week in Canary Wharf, London office)

About the Role: Our client, a leading UK professional membership and qualifications body, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Application Support Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical applications and infrastructure—both on-premises and in the cloud. The role supports the organisation’s strategic move toward becoming a cloud-first enterprise and requires strong technical capabilities, leadership, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stability and functionality of core business applications and IT infrastructure
  • Design and manage secure and scalable cloud environments
  • Ensure reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency across all infrastructure systems
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT support analysts and infrastructure engineers
  • Oversee service desk operations, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met and monitored
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams to maintain and upgrade systems
  • Manage incident response and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Develop infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures

Candidate Requirements:

  • Significant experience in IT infrastructure and application support
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing technical teams
  • Proficient in ITIL frameworks and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
  • Expertise in Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL, Entra ID, and Office 365
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
