The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG Welder for our client based in Banbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of materials and thicknesses, primarily using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on a range of materials including, but not limited to, stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel. Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting settings as required for optimal performance. Fabricate and assemble components according to design specifications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met. Identify and resolve welding issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate personnel. Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment. About You: Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Demonstrable expertise in welding various materials, particularly stainless steel. Strong understanding of welding procedures, techniques, and quality control. Possession of relevant welding qualifications/certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding, or equivalent) is highly desirable. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills.
