We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our expanding team based in Northampton or Banbury! The ideal candidate will support with financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting. Working closely with the management accountant, this is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to gain additional exposure to month-end management accounts. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 08:30am to 5pm (some flexibility will be needed on working hours depending on business need), offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward-thinking market leader.

Job Purpose

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing management accounts and commentary for key areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports for central overhead cost centres, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties such as managing the central mailbox and responding to queries from the wider business.
