Lab Assistant Reading 6 Months – GBP17.84 Umbrella The role of Technician is to be responsible for performing a range of routine activities to support effective completion of analyses and meet the customer\’s contractual agreements. Responsibilities include lab admin and housekeeping activities, sample preparation and management, basic routine analysis, and working in accordance with UKAS and quality standards within the Food Sciences laboratory. Key duties involve providing high-quality customer service by effectively organizing workload, ensuring data integrity, and delivering timely and accurate results. The role includes performing basic routine tasks and sample preparation under supervision, operating basic lab equipment, following SOPs, calibrating equipment, and producing reliable data. Competence in using generic software packages such as LIMS and Q Pulse is required. Candidates should have a scientific understanding of basic lab equipment, excellent customer service skills, good written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, and good IT skills.
