A small secondary school based in Isleworth, Hounslow are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has a good understanding of SEN, to be able to support children aged 11-16 across core subjects. The Teaching Assistant role starts in September, with trials and interviews held in the coming weeks. The school offers a fantastic enrichment programme for staff to be involved in, as well as homework and after school clubs. Parking is available on site!
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Carry out assessments and observations as instructed by teachers
- Support with reading and writing - with a focus on students with special needs
- Write progress reports for students with SEN and varied abilities
Ideal skills and requirements:
- Math or science related degree
- Experience working with children in any setting/understanding of SEN
- Experience working as a tutor
- Enthusiastic attitude towards learning
