About the Opportunity
VYZN is hiring on behalf of two top-tier VC firms focused on AI and DeepTech at Seed and Series A+. We are looking for Principal-level investors to join dynamic teams backing the next wave of frontier technologies. These are high-impact roles for experienced investors who want to shape fund strategy, lead deals, and support the most ambitious founders in Europe.
About the Role
As a Principal, you’ll be a senior member of the investment team—originating and leading deals, building deep conviction in thesis areas, and serving as a key face of the fund in the ecosystem. You’ll work closely with Partners to shape portfolio construction and drive firm-wide initiatives. This role is ideally suited to an investor with a strong track record at the Associate or Investment Manager level, ready to step into greater autonomy and influence.
Core Responsibilities
- Deal Origination: Identify and source exceptional AI and DeepTech founders across Europe; develop proprietary networks and build differentiated pipeline.
- Thesis Development: Drive research and conviction in specific sectors (e.g. agentic AI, quantum infrastructure, industrial automation, defence tech).
- Deal Execution: Lead diligence, IC write-ups, and negotiations; manage cross-functional teams throughout the investment process.
- Founder Support: Be a trusted thought partner to portfolio CEOs; help shape early GTM, hiring, and fundraising strategy.
- Firm Building: Shape fund strategy, branding, and internal culture; mentor junior team members and contribute to internal AORs.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–7 years’ experience in early-stage VC, growth equity, or founder/operator roles in frontier tech
- Strong analytical and research capabilities with a demonstrated ability to build thesis and conviction
- Proven ability to lead deals or play a central role in investment execution
- Deep networks in the AI/DeepTech ecosystem
- Thoughtful, curious, low-ego team players who can operate with pace and independence
Bonus Points For
- Backgrounds in technical disciplines (e.g. engineering, physics, machine learning)
- Operating experience in venture-backed AI or DeepTech startups
- Exposure to investment committee environments or board observer roles
