Our client is a well established Accountancy Practice and seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee their payroll operations for their Client base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and data entry using Sage 50.
My client is seeking a candidate with an in-depth working knowledge of running end to end payroll on Sage 50 Payroll software. You will have experience in pension management and portal integration and CIS filing experience is preferred. The role is being offered at £18/19 per hour for a 30-hour working week. Exclusively office based.
The clients consist of the following breakdown:
- 11 weekly & three 4-weekly payrolls
- 45 monthly payrolls with employees
- 35 monthly without CIS
- 10 monthly with CIS
- 101 director-only payrolls (this can increase fairly frequently; ran monthly)
Manual entry of timesheets/clock cards for hourly paid employees, open to changing this provided client compliance. Filing of monthly 12 CIS returns. Currently the largest payroll scheme comprises of approximately 30 employees, varying up to around 35 with starters/leavers. Pension schemes with NEST, NOW and People’s Pension (around 40 schemes in total).
