Pay Rate: £37,374.00
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (working 2 out of 5 Saturdays)
Shift Times: Starting at 06:00 am or 10:00 am; typical shift length is 10 hours and 15 minutes.
Manpower is recruiting for reliable and professional 7.5t Drivers in the London area, to work for our client on a permanent basis. Our client is known nationwide for being one of the biggest retailers. You will join their team delivering a wide range of products from furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs directly into customers' homes. You will work as part of a 2-person delivery crew. Once fully trained, you'll also play a key role in coaching and mentoring fellow delivery drivers, sharing your knowledge of home installations and customer service, and setting an example of excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for outstanding customer service, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Coach, develop, and support your fellow delivery drivers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel.
- Assist with loading deliveries into the lorry, working closely with the warehouse team.
- Show respect and care for the customer's home, addressing any challenges to find the best solutions.
- Install products efficiently, providing customers with clear demonstrations of how to use them once installed.
Requirements:
- A valid C1 UK driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points).
- Valid DCPC and Tachograph card.
- Previous experience in product installation is beneficial however full training is provided.
- Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle is preferred.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
