OVERVIEW
CAA, which acquired ICM Partners earlier this year, has expanded its publishing and book to film and television operations in London. A fast-paced and growing department selling publication and media rights across all languages, territories, and formats to establish and develop literary careers worldwide; we work with internationally acclaimed and bestselling authors across fiction and non-fiction.

We are looking for a new detail-oriented and efficient Assistant to join our team, primarily to support two of our Agents. This Assistant will work with US, UK and internationally-based authors/journalists/publications/life rights holders behind notable films and shows like "Where The Crawdads Sing" (Sony), "Outlander" (Starz), "Maid" (Netflix), "The Watcher" (Netflix), "Zola" (A24), among others.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a busy diary and contacts lists, arranging travel, scheduling, and handling expenses
  • Logging deals on behalf of the Literary Agents
  • Managing multiple databases, from publication to rights
  • Liaising with Business Affairs and Accounts departments to track payments and contracts, and raising invoices
  • Reading and commenting on new material and submissions, managing incoming submissions
  • Dealing with enquiries about rights
  • Acting as the primary contact for client enquiries via telephone and email
  • Handling phone calls and emails for the Agents
  • Drafting correspondence

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Passion for books, reading, films, and television, with a keen interest in developing a career in publishing or film/TV industries
  • Interest in other media such as podcasts and visual arts, with trend-spotting ability
  • Solid administrative experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Outlook and MS Office
  • Additional language skills are a plus but not essential
