Randolph Hill is a reputable provider of elderly care in Scotland, operating seven highly regarded nursing homes in East Central Scotland. We offer a supportive, flexible environment that encourages career development and meaningful contributions to resident care.

We are looking for an outstanding Staff Nurse to join either Holmesview in Broxburn or Kirk Lane in Livingston. Permanent, full‑time, part‑time, or staff bank posts are available.

Job Purpose

Provide professional clinical nursing to all residents, deliver strong leadership, comply with NMC code of conduct and support the Home Manager in the daily running of the nursing home.

Main Responsibilities

  • Promote the highest standards of nursing care within the home
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors
  • Supervise and support junior staff through effective leadership
  • Delegate daily workload in absence of the Home Manager, ensuring efficient use of manpower
  • Set a good example at all times in respect of dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour
  • Maintain correct records and individual care plans as required by the company and statutory bodies

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 12 months of experience as a qualified nurse within an elderly care setting; newly qualified nurses are welcomed
  • Experience supporting elderly people with dementia
  • Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to provide advice and guidance to staff, residents and relatives sensitively
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage diverse situations effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication, especially in report writing and care planning
