Requirements:
- Valid and active Physical Therapy Assistant State license
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients, gathering medical history, and assessing goals
- Carry out prescribed interventions and exercises to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and flexibility
- Administer modalities and use therapeutic equipment for patient rehabilitation
- Instruct patients in exercise programs and techniques to improve physical function and well-being
- Educate patients and families on exercise and home programs for recovery
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and progress
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team to coordinate care and discuss treatment plans
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic therapy environment
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work toward their physical therapy goals
