Do you have a passion for training, and a proven and credible background in designing and delivering training products within a policing environment? As a trainer within the Specialist Investigative arena, you will use your extensive knowledge of investigations, particularly in delivering Crime Scene Investigations learning programmes. You will have a history of collaborating with colleagues, partners, and communities, utilizing your knowledge and experience to research, design, and deliver learning and development programmes.
You will work alongside investigative training colleagues on regional and national levels to ensure our programmes are of the highest quality and support operational delivery. Joining our team offers you a chance to influence new officers' investigative training within our specialist learning programmes. WMP's People Services Department seeks creative, inclusive training methods. You will be responsible for devising new approaches to delivering learning to wider audiences through various means, including technological and interactive methods where possible.
You should be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging effectively with individuals and large groups, and demonstrate professionalism aligned with our standards and Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience- Operationally experienced trainer with investigative understanding
- Knowledge of College of Policing Crime Scene Investigator programmes
- Understanding of PIP 1 & 2 learning programmes, operational legislation, practice, and procedures
- Training qualifications: PTRLDP/TEP and/or Level 3 Award in Education and Training; Level 4 Certificate preferred
- Experience with IT-based training programme development using Windows applications
- Experience in PIP 1 volume and priority crime arena
- Designed or delivered Crime Scene Investigator training; knowledge of PIP 2 programmes

Additional Information- Vetting: Successful applicants will undergo Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance, including background and financial checks.
- Hours: Full-time, 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
- Location: Tally Ho Training Centre, Edgbaston.
