A leading technology company in the Yateley area is looking for an NPI Development Engineer to join their dynamic and collaborative team. You will play a key role in supporting the introduction of new products by developing test equipment, embedded firmware, and PC-based applications to support production testing.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical skills in software and electronics, and a desire to contribute to the development of innovative technologies used in real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop high-quality production test jigs for new products
- Write embedded firmware and PC-side software to operate test equipment
- Collaborate with production support and product development teams to ensure seamless introduction of new products
- Develop and document robust test processes and procedures
- Manage version control and configuration for all new test equipment
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and tools in your field
- Proven experience in at least two of the following technical areas: C or C++, C# software on Windows, Electronics design
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing automated test equipment or production support tools
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
