About The Role We have a great opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our Facilities Team at allpay Limited. As a Facilities Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of facilities and equipment for the allpay site. This role would ideally suit someone with experience in facilities maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical or similar backgrounds. This role will involve a wide range of tasks, including routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the facilities. As a Facilities Technician, you will be undertaking: Maintenance and repairs – diagnose and repair issues related to building infrastructure, including lights, doors, windows and furniture. Painting and decorating. Waste, water and sewage service and maintenance. Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed safety and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Operational support – respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly, prioritising tasks on urgency and importance. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary items are stocked and available. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards or compliance issues. Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs. Ensure compliance with H&S regulations, fire codes, and building codes. Co-ordinate with external contractors and vendors. Working closely with other departments to understand and support their facility related needs. About The Candidate The ideal candidate will have/be: Previous experience in facilities maintenance or related field – preferable. Experience with plumbing and general building maintenance, preferable, electrical experience would be highly desirable. Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems and equipment – essential. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facilities maintenance – preferable. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics – essential. Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills – essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team – essential. Basic computer skills, including the use of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office – essential. NVQ or other relatable qualifications – preferable. H&S qualifications – desirable. Full UK driving licence – essential.Working environment & conditions: Work can involve bending, lifting, moving, and carrying heavy objects and may be physically demanding. Operating of machinery and power tools, involving manual dexterity and hand/eye co-ordination. Working both outside and inside the buildings. May be dirty, hot/cold conditions, may involve lone working at times, working at height or in confined spaces. The role may require working outside of normal hours, weekends or on-call to address emergencies or urgent maintenance needs. May be a requirement to wear PPE.
