We are looking to expand our team and are now looking for a Nursery Manager to take over our setting located in Stratford. This position is for an immediate start.
Qualifications: Early Years degree, Early Years Professional, NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent. 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience for the manager position.
Working hours: Monday – Friday (rotating shifts: 8am to 5pm and 9am to 6pm).
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all the day-to-day operations of the nursery and therefore must be able to think on their feet, multi-task and delegate effectively, as well as keeping on top of the daily paperwork necessary. You must be passionate about working in childcare and be experienced in tracking children’s progress.
Background & experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and Ofsted requirements
- Great understanding and practical experience of nursery care for young children
- Great understanding and practical experience of child development and parenting
- Experience of working in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Secure knowledge of how babies develop and the ability to apply this to your practice
- Working knowledge of safeguarding children
- Knowledge of learning and development of children and how to monitor this
- Excellent knowledge in Early Years inspection
- Experience in quality staff performance management
- Skilled in dealing with parents, building strong parent partnerships, maintaining positive partnerships

Responsibilities:
- To work in partnership with the parents and provide good customer service
- To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
- To ensure that all the requirements for OFSTED and other legislative bodies are met
- To effectively manage and sustain occupancy levels
- To manage all day-to-day operations of the nursery
- To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
- To effectively lead and manage the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, training and support to all staff
- To market the nursery effectively to encourage prospective parents
- To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
